Pilgrim Roads in Spain and Portugal

The base layer of this map started off as a scan of a vintage map of the Iberian peninsula from 1849.  It has been painstakingly retouched to reveal the more important details.

Over the top lie 57 routes which connect to form a network of pilgrimage roads to Santiago (as well as a few other destinations).

It is printed on a soft textured and paper stock (250g) with a slight gloss.  The paper measures 50x70cm (19.69 x 27.56 in) so that it fits into common modern frames, but the map itself is a few cm narrower.
