The handsfree trekking umbrella as compact version
- can be easily attached on the shoulder straps and hip belt on nearly all kind of backpacks. Can be also attached on carrier-belt-system made by EuroSCHIRM. The umbrella can be extended in two stages and , incl. 2 adjustable fastening clips. Both hands remain completely free which is ideal for walkers who don´t want to go without trekking poles in rain , either. Also the perfect umbrella for nature photographers, etc.

Very usefull and durabel umbrella.
I just used it twice in the mezetta, as most of the time it was cloudy. My view is that it did the job well in reducing the direct sun heat. It also durabel, as I have experience it blown flipped up, but it was easy to flip it back. The only complain is that the pole connector between the first and second poles is not securely fixed, as it kept detached when pulled (I will send you the photo). The other concern is that it is difficult to secure the handle to backpack strap, it will swift if wind is strong or when belly moves, as it is not as firmly attached as with the clip on the upper section. Maybe they should design a clip to attach it to the waist belt or to the backpack stabilizer strap.

I live in Vancouver, Canada which rains a lot! I walk regularly and use trekking poles I was happy to find this handsfree umbrella using my poles. The first time I used it I wanted to return it! LOL! reason is you have to attach the 4 clips provided properly. You have to use with a backpack to attach the clips. Make sure the shoulder straps are not too wide or you cannot attach the two clips.it's not perfect but it works and I can walk in the rain. I got lots of comments and have recommended to purchase this. Thank you Ivar. Ivar was very nice when I told him I was thinking to return - good company to deal with!
