The winter route to Santiago
The book will be well used this summer on the camino. Thanks Ivar :-)
Camino de Invierno Guide
Book gives good overview of the history of the route and a decent description of the route. However it does not provide any contact information or description of alberques along the route. There is a symbol key for each town indicating what services are available but no description. That is information that is required in planning.
Camino de Invierno
A great, easy to read and light guide. I plan to do this in Autumn 2021 after el Olvidado
Camino invierno guide
Very helpful and informative.
Promising Guide
Since I am planning my Camino in September I have no chance to review the guide at the moment, but it seems very thorough.
They WILL be very useful
They WILL be very useful WHEN I next walk the Camino
Heavy for a Guide Book
"A Detailled Guide: The Winter Route to Santiago" is a beautifully produced book, BUT it weighs in at 10.6 oz. It will not be going with me on my walk given the weight. It's too bad... there is much good descriptive information I'd like to have with me. One thing that attracted me to the book was the promise of maps of the stages. However, these are more simplistic than those in the Brierly CF guide and not so useful. The logistics of delivery to Canada (via post) worked just find. This had been a concern for me, and am pleased to know I can buy from the Forum Shop with confidence in delivery overseas.
Invierno
My guide book arrived very quickly. I don't have a smart phone to access the accommodation guide in the annex of the book but I'm sure I'll get by. Definitely use this shop again
A Camino de Invierno Guide (The Winter Route to Santiago)
