Altus Bambu Trail Running poles have 3 folding sections, widia tip with nut, and a rubber protector. The high-density non-slip turned foam and various features (non-slip extension, textured strip, widia tip, threaded rosette, wrist strap, tip protector) make these poles ideal for your outdoor adventures. They measure 36 cm when folded, have a maximum height of 125 cm when extended, and a minimum height of 115 cm. Lightweight at only 250 grams.

I love a z-pole folding design, and these are sturdy, and a medium-weight (not carbon) alloy pole. The rubber tips are great, and will last probably 1200 km (having done 400) before needing to be replaced. Unfortunately, Altus did not assemble the webbing wrist-sling on one pole properly and it would twist on any effort to set up the sling for use — so I could not use that ergonomic feature on one of the poles (as the twist ends up cutting into the hand). Surprised that they didn’t notice at the assembly point that this pole had been mis-threaded. Thought of returning them, but with 400KM on them, I will just continue to use them for short jaunts and not worry about the intended ergonomic use of the wrist strap/sling.
