Unfortunately I will not be able to use the Guide until next year. It does look very detailed though & was exactly what I wanted.
This appears to be a nice comprehensive guide for a lesser traveled route. Unfortunately covid has forced me to change my plans and i won't have the chance to use it soon. Service and shipping from Ivar was easy and fast, even to the US.
This Guide was written by a pilgrim for pilgrims so it's really great and practical Guidebook. I like the street plans for the main places you reach at the end of each stage which shows you where you are , the camino and what's there. I understand a new edition will be released in the future as the regional government are investing in new signage and Albergues.
This is a really responsive and helpful resource. I got clear messages about when items had been shipped. They came really quickly.
This Guide has finally been published in English after 4 editions in Spanish with the help of the "Asociación de Amigos do Camiño de Santiago por Valdeorras". So what that means is that the information on the signage, places you pass,Albergues,bars/restaurants etc is bang up to date. The author,José Rúa Pérez,is an expereinced pilgrim having walked the Camino de Santiago over 30 times so it's written by a true pilgrim for pilgrims. What I like about it is not only the welter of information on the history of the Camino and practical information for pilgrims preparing for the Camino but the depth of local information on each stage including the excellent maps of each stage including topographic and town maps on how to negotiate major settlements without losing the camino. It's small pocket size is perect and it's solid so mine is still in perfect condition after doing it. Such an amazing Camino from the first steps leaving Ponferrada until the last and an excellent guidebook to prepare, guide and to keep for posterity.

No legend for maps. Maps are confusing and hard to read. The translation into English is very poor and confusing.
Ok. Translation from Spanish not too good. I should have ordered it in Spanish. Yellow headlines were hard to read. Good advice
